The country of Belgium is located in the Europe along the North Sea and English Channel. Sharing a border with France, Germany, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, Belgium is the center of attention in Europe. Taking up approximately 11,780 square miles of land, Belgium is small in size compared to a few of its European neighbors. The lowest point in Belgium is at sea level along the North Sea while the highest is 2,277 feet above sea level at Signal de Botrange. The rest of the country is mostly flat land except for a portion in the Southeast near the Ardennes forest where a small mountain range resides.
Climate

Located in the area cropped in the image to the left, Belgium is considered to have maritime temperatures with mild winters and cool summers. The average winter temperatures are around 45˚F and average summer temperatures around 77˚F. While the weather sounds nice, Belgium has also been known to be rainy, cloudy, and humid as well.
